Group Name: Average/Over Average Dependence
Percent of Smokers: 30%
Withdrawal Severity: Difficult but Manageable
Treatment Options: Combination Therapy, Natural Remedies, Hypnosis, Acupuncture, Behavioral Modification Therapy, Nicotine Replacement Therapy, Smoking Cessation Counseling,
If you are in this group you are in a broad range of average to over average dependence to nicotine. This group includes people who have been smokers for a number of years, smoked on average a pack a day, and have probably tried to quit previously and found it difficult.
Quitting for you will be difficult but very doable. You will benefit from combining multiple smoking cessation aids and making lifestyle changes. At this level of dependence nicotine replacement would be recommended, but is not necessary, and should be combined with some natural remedy, increased exercise, and avoiding places where people smoke and people who smoke. Information is important and you would benefit from joining a smoking cessation support group.

I’ve attempted all of these suggested quitting techniques and then some. I just wish someone, who really loved me unconditionally, would take me somewhere,or just lock me up in a room for a week or two without cigarettes. And in a way,i know i can quit this nasty habit because i cannot tolerate to smell other people’s smoke when i am beside them,so this is a good thing, right? It says i have a chance at succeeding.Help me please!
Hi Irene. It sounds like you certainly have the desire to quit smoking! That is an excellent first step. And you get something most people don’t get, that they will survive without cigarettes. I always tell everyone they need 3 things to quit smoking; the desire to quit, some information, and a little help. That help could be a support group, nicotine replacement, or Quit Tea. If you have struggled to quit in the past the best thing you can do is come up with a plan and use as many smoking cessation aids as you can at the same time. And for information try reading this article “A Pre-Quit Checklist.” http://quittea.com/blog/?p=193 Please email me if you would like more information.
I really need & want to quit for myself & my health But, right now more so for my health I woke-up 4 plus yrs. ago like that.Since completely deaf in my left ear I’ve since found out about a surgery they can help me so I can’t hear in that ear but, have an implant on that side so what I’m missing would bounce off & go in my good ear & that to me is awesome reason enough to quit & I have a new Grand baby coming @ Christmas this yr. so I really hope this Quit Tea helps me.I have a lot of great reasons to quit.So between my Heavenly Father & Quit Tea I’m sure I’ve got a great shot at this milestone in my life at this time. Thanks for reading
Hi Helen. Thank you for sharing that about yourself. A lot of people don’t realize the reasons they have to quit smoking. Those 2 reasons for you sound like very important ones! I’m sure it will help to give you the determination to quit smoking. I hope you get to try Quit Tea and it helps you quit smoking. Whatever you decide to use to quit, just remember to stick with it. The hard part of quitting lasts much less time than it seems. Good luck and God bless.

Hi Barbara. It sounds like your have the reason to quit smoking. Now all you need is some information, a plan to quit, and some help. If are in the average dependence group you might want to consider reading a book on quitting, like Dr. Seidman’s “Smoke Free In 30 Days” or finding a group, getting the nicotine gum or patch, and drinking Quit Tea. That combination should be enough to help you quit smoking for good! Please write if you have any other questions.
This is the way I feel too. I have tried to quit several times before and as I get older it is even harder, I once made it for over 2 years and then a personal crisis occured and what is the first thing I did? Pick up a smoke! I wish there was rehab for smokers! Good luck to us all.
Hi Sandi. Even if you hadn’t smoked in 20 years you will always have that urge to smoke. The best thing you can do though is to recondition your triggers to smoke. For example if you usually smoke if you had a bad day at work, or someone is rude… whatever it is for you, then through repetition of doing something else in place of smoking you will create a new response and habit. Experts say it takes 66 days, 9 weeks roughly. I recommend healthy things like going for a walk or run, making a cup of tea, yoga. Whatever works for you.
I really want to quit because I had the smell of smoke and cigarettes are getting to be really expensive. I smoke when stressed or bored. I am currently disabled and don’t work so I am bored often. I think drinking this tea might help me because I love tea also I don’t want to gain weight. I am going to try and exercise more and get back into my hobby of sewing. Can you drink this tea iced or does it have to be hot?
Hi Darlene. It sounds like Quit Tea would be the right option for you then. You can definitely drink it iced, it would still have the same affects. Just make sure you brew it long enough in boiling water before cooling it off in the fridge.
I want to quit after last year surgery i quit for a month then went back i tried more than one time but didn’t seceded but I tried the patches gum didnt work gonna try the tea i need help i so much want to stop but where i live its a smoking zone
Hi Beth. Many people are able to quit temporarily after surgery because the drugs used for anesthesia will completely knock out your urge to smoke. It usually lasts a week or more. It can be difficult to quit smoking when you live around other smokers. The social aspect is incredibly powerful. Maybe you can everyone around you to try Quit Tea. If you can get everyone to agree, I will send you a couple extra boxes for free. Just email me. Matt, info@quittea.com
Hi, yes I really have the desire to stop smoking. A couple of years ago after having a tumor removed and a hystorectomy I stopped
cold turkery. But then some family problems arose and I went back to smoking. I sure hope this works. I’ve tried everything but to no avail. Thank you for offering the free samples. I can’t wait to try it.
I started smoking cigarettes at age 17, and smoked until April of 2010. In March of 2011 I picked up a Black and Mild cigar of all things and now that’s what I’ve been smoking daily.I know what it takes to quit smoking, and now I realize that I can never put anything smokeable in my mouth because I DO inhale.Hopefully this tea will help along with willpower.
People are able to stop cold turkey after a major surgery because of the drugs used in and after surgery for pain. If you are average dependence you just need to be prepared, read up and get information, and then quit. It might be more about your habits and the people you are around. Avoid other smokers if you can.
Hi Donna. Yes, you really have to avoid anything smoke-able.
Quit Tea helped me not enjoy the taste of cigarettes anymore. After a couple months of Quit Tea I tried a cigarette and it tasted awful. Hopefully it will do that for you too.
I had smoked for over 30 years and 13 years ago I quit, because I promised my daughter I would when her daughter was born, and I was blessed to have a friend praying for me. It was simple then. I used the patches and put the cigarettes down and did not pick them up again for 10 years. Then stress at work made me bum one, one day and that is all it took for me to be back in the habit. Now I have recently found out that I have heart disease and HAVE to quit again. If I want to live I have to quit. I have purchased the patches again, but just have not started yet. But this tea sounds like the very thing I need to give me that extra boost. Cannot wait to get the sample and where do I buy more from???
Hi Linda. If you quit once for 10 years, I’m sure you can do it again! And you are right. Did you read the latest study on women quitting smoking: http://quittea.com/blog/why-women-find-it-harder-to-quit-smoking/ basically women have better success with product like Quit Tea because addiction is more psychological than a physical addiction to nicotine.
